It all began in 1910 when Sam Pappas emigrated from Greece to Belleville, Ontario. In 1920, Sam opened Pappas Billiards and served the Belleville community for 34 years. In 1954, the family business moved to Etobicoke where Sam’s son Bill, opened Kingsway Billiards and served the Etobicoke community for 40 years. In 1992 Bill’s son Sam, and his wife Tracey, continued the family tradition by opening the first Crooked Cue in the Kingsway Billiards location. In 1997, the family tradition continued to grow as Bill’s other children Matina and John, opened the second location of The Crooked Cue in the charming and historic “Vogue Theatre” building in Port Credit. Since its inception, this location has been chosen “best pool hall” 13 years running by the readers of the Mississauga News. The Pappas family is proud to have served their customers for over 88 years.
